Commenting on what you typed about simple living - I completely agree. I often have to fight with seeing blogs that depict [a more] simple living than we live. I'll see them and think "Oh we should do that". Time goes on and then I realize that I can not possibly do everything that 'sounds' like a good thing to do. Somewhere in the past month or so I have come to the conclusion that I need to be comfortable in my own skin, so to speak. Stop trying to be what someone else things is "Ideal Simple Living". It is just too much stress to do that. I've come to the conclusion that, for us, having a large garden, canning a few things and shopping at Whole Foods a few times a year will likely be the extent of our Simple Living. Those things work for us. We'll likley occasionally make soap, still, too. But probably only about once or twice a year, in spring and/or fall. The idea of having chickens and making our own clothes 'sounds' appealing, but I really just don't want to do those things. And, that is okay. I really know that now.
